  3. Camera2 Digital Camera

I know I've asked before, but I think I have the money set aside this time. I can't find any recent posts...forgive me if I missed it! What digital camera do you have? Model too please I think I'm going to use some of my tax refund to purchase one since we haven't had the kids pictures taken in over 3 years. Lane's NEVER had a portrait pix...and I want to make sure that I get enough pictures this Spring w/their Grandpa who's dying. TIA!

  4. Love We had a blessed trip

Grandma Alice paid for us to go to Great Wolf Lodge before she passed away (she was hoping to go with us). We got there and they had messed up the reservation, so they upgraded us for free to their biggest suite there. It was a huge room! 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, fireplace & jacquzzi tub. Everything went smoothly the whole trip too, which isn't always the case. Then we went to the arcade and I gave them a budget. It was a crazy experience. They kept...

  5. Tinkerbell wasn't expecting homework!

Tara bought a doll home from school that she gets to have for the weekend. We are supposed to take photos of it and write a story about her adventures with Tara. I was planning a quiet weekend, but looking through the book, there have been lots of exciting adventures for Princess. She has been to the zoo, the farm, on a plane and to a birthday party. I guess I am off to find something interesting to do!

  7. UGH! My hands STINK! Help!!!

I am getting tired of smelling them, too! Yesterday was a pretty day so dh did the yard while I was at my mother's group. When I came home with the kids, we helped him finish sweeping up the clippings and then he just wanted to cut down one branch in the backyard. So, we went back to help and that is when we got started cleaning up the back. After lunch and putting the kids down for a nap, we went back outside to keep working since we realized how much work there was to do. I found what I...

  8. Ugh! I electrocuted myself cleaning the fridge

Stupid, stupid, stupid!!! I was putting gorceries away when I realized the firdge was really dirty. I am not sure what possessed me but I REALLY cleaned it (normally, Dr. House would have fun with my fridge) I took everything out, shelves, drawers, etc. Something had spilled behing the lightbulbs too so I stuck my wet sponge back there-YIKES!!! I shocked myself (this is the worst time). The light bulb was broken in the back but I couldn't tell. I figured I was ok since I was...

  9. Question Zhu-Zhu Pets

Hey All, Can you tell me about Zhu-Zhu pets? I see what they are and I see them in the stores- and I know they were popular at Christmas. I have been on their website. Evidently they are coming out with more "boyish" ones in the future, I saw that somewhere. But...do your kids actually play with them? I am thinking that I could get each kid one or two in their basket and and an accessory. What do you all think? Are you happy with them? Do they need new batteries or...

  11. Wondering if anyone has a direction for me to go...

I am trying to find help for a local family whose daughter is facing having to go back to Kosovo with many health issues that she will not be able to get help for there. We are trying to find ways to help them and Ardita has been a buddy to Kira since she started school and this is breaking my heart. Does anyone have any resources for me to possibly help them? http://www.helpardita.com/index.html

  15. Love At a loss

Dh & I haven't had a date in almost 3 years, because we don't have the childcare. My parents will watch Hannah, but not Caleb. Our caregiver's car needed repairs, so she needed extra hours. This is our Saturday caregiver. Our Friday one is the one that walked out, so we have extra hours available. My sister will take Hannah overnight on Friday the 19th and our Saturday caregiver will come over at 6pm to watch Caleb while we go out. I am seriously at a loss as to what we should...

  16. Date night ROCKS

Since both Nicole and DH were sick on Valentine's Day (for the second year in a row!), DH and I made up for it at Cheesecake Factory tonight. 80+ minute wait, but we just walked the mall while we waited. I can't remember the last time we just held hands. Our last "date" was in June. Food was surprisingly good, the wine even better, and we got to just hang out with each other. A good way to blow off steam before Nicole's surgery on Tuesday. Thank goodness for grandparents who like to babysit!...

  17. The "R" word what would you do??

OK DH and I are shopping for a new/used van. and we went to a freind of ours' dealer. This saleslady is a friend of the fire dept, is a paramedic, has some family with Autism, and down syndrome. AND she knows about jake as we were talking about SN kids. During the conversation she refered to something her DH did as "r"ed. My Dh and I looked at each other in shock and I did not know what to say as we were on our way out anyway. He does not want to buy the car from her now. ( not sure if she...

  23. Computer 48x48 firefox question

I started using firefox instead of IE recently. I like it for the most part, but there is one really annoying thing that keeps happening. For some reason the "work offline" option under file keeps getting selected (and I am NOT doing it!) and that results in some crazy stuff happening. Any idea why this keeps happening and what I can do to stop it?

  25. Sad Yellow Ugh

So my feelings are hurt - kinda. I dont really know how I feel - just really bothered. I am the Children's Director of our church. The preschool director is "under" me and then the teachers. I work directly with the director to make sure the school is running and the teachers are doing what needs to be done. Sooo.... Friday we had a teacher's staff meeting. All staff. They have kinda been coasting by. Both the director andI went into the meeting knowing we needed to "come down...

  26. Legitimate online jobs

First of, I'm not sure if this is the right thread for such a topic, so if it isn't I apologize and feel free to move it elsewhere. Does anyone know of a legitimate job I can do online, from home, without having to pay XXX $ for a started kit? I'm not looking for something to bring me thousands of dollars per week, but rather some sort of supplemental income. If you could please share, I'd be thankful.

  28. OMG!!!

I got a phone call from the principal of the kids' school this morning. She was very flustered and was rambling on, obviously nervous about what she was going to tell me. She said it happened in October and it was about Wyatt. She kept asking if she had already talked to me about it, and I assured her I had never talked to her on the phone before. She was apologizing repeatedly for not calling me and taking 'responsibility' for not calling, etc, etc. She then told me Wyatt was almost hit...

  29. Car help- 3 car seats

We are looking at possibly buying a 'run around' car. (an older car, paying cash of course!) We have our SUV, but it is a gas guzzler! I drive the kids around a lot and want something better in gas... but I know fitting 3 car seats across in a car will be hard... Anyone have any ideas? We had a breeze (status) before, so I know an intrepid would fit 3 across, but that's the only car I know for sure.
