  1. Update! Constipation- dr. appt

I have way bi ger stuff on my mind right now with th RP but since I was in yesterday (and I pretty much have had it with the constipation) I asked the dr. about it. I explained that PG it is always an issues for me and I took pericolace, but that it never got better and I thought ok maybe because I was still BF but that now I'm not anymore and it still isn't any better. She doesn't think it is a big issue and thinks since I just quit BF 3-4 weeks ago, i should give it a couple of...

  2. Magnesium vs. Miralax

Every since being PG with Erick I've had issues with constipation. While PG I took peri-collace but since then I've tried lots of other stuff (most of works for a week or two and then quits working-UGH!) Miralax works but I also recently tried magnesium instead (what I have is magnesium oxide) Anyway they both seem to work about the same with me and in the same way, same effects, etc. I'm hoping I can take less magnesium and still have it work (a little less well-KWIM?) I couldn't do...

  3. Can You Imagine (Article by Carissa Haston)

Can you imagine never being able to eat again? Hooking up to IV nutrition or tube feedings every day in order to live? Carrying your nutrition on your back all day or being attached to a pole all night? Or, simply having to "survive" on chicken broth, Ensure, and small bites of food all day long? And in spite of that, still dealing with malnutrition, dehydration, weight loss, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting on a daily basis? Frequent trips to the ER and hospital become routine...just a...

  4. GP flair just will not let up.

I hate that I am still relying on 24 hour tube feeds. I am not ALWAYS nausiated but I am most of the time. If I try to eat anything more than some dry cerial or crackers or drink enough to keep hydrated it goes down hill really fast again. I couldn't even enjoy the kids birthday dinners (we let the kids pick anything they want for dinner on their birthdays, Libby I didn't mind so much because it was just an old recipe that I have made dozens of times but for Tim we went to the Japanes Steak...

  5. UGH can't win

I had hoped after doing ok after my big GP flair up in November that I would get a break for a while. LMAO of course not. The first time DH has traveled for work since I developed GP almost 2 years ago and my stomach goes nuts again. I didn't tell him until this morning since he is coming home tomorrow if all goes well with the airlines because I knew he would flip out and worry about me. Thankfully I was willing to accept the inevitable before things got real bad. I was find Monday when...
