Child's Background
Pax has Chronic Lung Disease most likely caused by aspirating reflux. His reflux was severe, and he underwent a *successful* nissen fundoplication in October 2009. He has been tube fed since July 2008. He's had an NG tube, a GJ tube, and now we are back to a G tube once again ( an AMT mini one balloon button). Pax has a type 1 laryngeal cleft, but can swallow all textures/liquids without aspirating as of April 2009! He has a feeding aversion, and is currently about 99% tube fed. He loves to drink water and eat ice cubes, though!!

    Does Pax use a MicKey GJ now??? I think I read that he does.....If so, they do make extensions that have NO med port in them. I could dig some out and send you some. Let me know.
